Tina, when it comes to your quote, you have to list what was actually said...aka George Bancroft didn't really say "He thought it was a healthy and secluded location." So instead, you may want to say this: George Bancroft thought Annapolis was a "healthy and secluded location." That way what he said is actually in quotes.
Or you could say this: Annapolis was considered to be a "healthy and secluded location." -George Bancroft. You also might want to write Secretary of Navy 19?? in italics or smaller print with his name so viewers know who he is.
