Project Four - Classification

I am going classification on kinds of hearing losses.. there are about 4 or 5 and I will explain how your hearing will be affected and how its lost.

Mine for example is Sensorneural Hearing Loss. Which is damage in my inner ear which is my cochlea.

My hearing loss involved an reduction in the sound levels, which is like faint sounds as whisper, soft noises. It also affects my speech understanding and discrimination. Also the clarity of the sounds and voices.

This is one of the reasons of getting an cochlear implant to help me regain some of those. Its a long hurl but it will take a few years to become successful. Ive only had this on for 6 months and am very pleased with my progress so far. Never imagined that I would hear silly sounds that hearing people tend to ignore. I am amazed on how the gentle wind can sound so pretty.

I got approved to get my other ear done just a few days after the last class. My surgery date is scheduled for May 18th. Which I am pretty excited about. Ill be able to hear 'stereo' in June! Just in time for my friend/coworker's wedding!
