Co Co. Sala
Finally went to Co Co. Sala last nite with an former co-worker of mine. He loves to try new things, so I tagged him along with me.
When we first went in, the lighting was very dark, making it hard for me to read his lips. A woman in a red dress came by and asked us if we have been here before and explained to us about Co Co. Sala. She mentioned that the curves of the chocolate walls to represent the flow of chocolate and the tiles to represent chocolate candies. Most of the furniture, like the tables are from Italy.
My friend, JQ started his meal with a Co Cojitio. Its a chocolate infused vodka with mint. Chocolate shavings as garnish. He drank a few sips with the cocktail straw.. and told me that he cant taste the chocolate. I asked him if I can try... I took one sip and tasted the overpowering strong alcohol and the mint... no chocolate at the beginning and as I was cleaning out my palette, I tasted the chocolate at the end... that taste lasted for over 15 minutes. I was pretty impressed. I haven't had a taste to last that long especially with chocolate.
I ordered a Bacon Mac and Cheese as the Coco Bite and the Tandoori Chicken Sandwich. The Bacon Mac and Cheese was very good.. the chocolate component is??? The chocolate covered bacon on the top... interesting! The Chicken sandwich, I didn't like it at all, it was too spicy.
In addition to my meal, I also ordered CoCo. I got a sampler of 3. White Chocolate, Salty Caramel and Dark Chocolate. My favorite was the White Chocolate and the Salty Caramel. I didn't care for the Dark Chocolate.. it left a bittersweet aftertaste for me.
Both of us saved some room for dessert. I got the churros with this cinnamon creame that has some alcohol in it.
My meal that included Coco, Mac and Cheese and Churros.. and tip costs $30.00.
It was worth it.. next time I prefer go to lunch time.. it has a cheaper and different menu.
And after we ate, we went to the restroom to washup... wierd! The bathroom had a puzzle into it. I had to figure out how to get the bathroom opened up. My friend JQ and I laughed about it a bit. It was a fun nite out.

Sounds like it's worth a try. Not sure how I'd feel about the puzzle bathroom though...
You should put something like that in your article - about how some meals/drinks have chocolate in them but it's hard to taste it, which can be good or bad. Like, I think chocolate covered bacon would be great and interesting to try and find on your tongue...but tasting chocolate only at the end of a drink wouldn't be that much fun.
I actually rewrote it and added that in the story.. :)
